Originally the Dining Room, Now the Kitchen
Like many midtown homes, the original kitchen had too many doors and was too small for modern life. This new beautiful historically sympathetic kitchen is housed in what was originally the dining room. It has one wall of painted cabinets and a walnut island for seating. The original crown moulding and picture rail moulding was recreated and wraps around the new cabinets for a seamless built in look. The original butler’s pantry was found in the basement and brought back to life. The upper portion of it was repaired and modified; new base cabinets were built to match and house a pair of wine fridges.
